Building Public-Private-Partnership mode in heavy metal pollution management

On April 19th 2014, one of EGP Partnership Projects, the Blacksmith Initiative Project, along with its partners the Changce Thinktank and the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, held a seminar on the theme of “Building Public-Private-Partnership mode in heavy metal pollution management” . 

Officials from Department of Planning and Finance, MEP, Department of Resources Conservation and Environmental Protection, NDRC and Department of Resources Saving and Comprehensive Utilization, MIIT attended the meeting and delivered presentations on the theme. The project team followed to introduce their project progress. Afterwards, representatives from enterprises joined the roundtable discussion with officials and the project team to exchange ideas on management of heavy metal pollution. Altogether 35 representatives from government and corporate sectors participated in the seminar.

Ms. Zhang Huijun, the visibility expert of the EGP Central Component also attended the seminar on behalf of the central project team. She gave a brief presentation on the EGP project and took part in the roundtable discussion.
